Privacy Policy for Timety

Benjamin Demetz ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our") built the Timety app as an Open Source, ad-free application. This SERVICE is provided by Benjamin Demetz at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. Data Collection and Use

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to Benji377 or any analytics/advertising service. Timety is designed to be an offline-first, privacy-first application. All data generated by your use of the app, including habit tracking, tasks, and time entries, is stored locally in the app's database directly on your device. We do not have servers, and your data never leaves your phone unless you manually export it yourself, or use the optional location search feature described in Section 3 below.

2. Third-Party Services and Analytics

This app does not use any third-party analytics, tracking libraries, or advertising frameworks. Your usage behavior is not monitored, recorded, or shared with any external services or companies.

3. Optional Location Search

When adding a location to a task, you may optionally search for an address by name. If you use this feature, the text you type is sent over the internet to a geocoding service to look up matching addresses. By default this is Photon, a service operated by Komoot; you can instead configure a different endpoint of your choosing in Settings. This request contains only the search text you enter, no other data about you or your device is included. This feature is entirely optional: the app is fully functional without it, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you actively search for a location.

4. Permissions

The app only requests the minimum device permissions necessary for its core functionality to operate. Because all task, habit, and time-tracking data is handled locally, no internet permission is required for the app's primary features. Internet access is only used for the optional location search described above.

5. Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit your personal data (aside from the optional location search queries described above), your information is protected by your device's own operating system security and encryption. We recommend securing your device with a PIN, password, or biometric lock to protect the local data stored by the app.

6. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal data from any users, we inherently do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
